Who we are
Botero Interiors was founded on a simple frustration: beautiful interiors too often arrive late, over budget, or not at all.
We are designers who also run construction. That means the material you fell in love with in the concept meeting is the one specified in the drawings, ordered on time, and installed correctly, because the same team carries it the whole way.
Our work leans warm and tactile: plaster, oak, stone, unlacquered metals and honest textiles. We like rooms that feel collected rather than decorated, and we design for how a family or a business actually moves through a space.
The studio works across Manhattan, Brooklyn and the Hudson Valley in New York, and down the Florida coast from Palm Beach to Miami, on private homes and on commercial spaces where the interior has to earn its keep.

Mauricio Botero
Founder & Principal
Mauricio spent more than fifteen years in luxury fashion, leading visual merchandising for some of the industry's defining houses, from Maison Margiela in Miami and six years directing the Southeast region for Prada Group, through Giorgio Armani, CELINE and Dolce&Gabbana, to Alexander McQueen, where he served as Senior Visual Merchandising Manager for the Americas.
That work was interior design in everything but name: composing space, light and material so a room tells its story the moment you step inside. In 2026 he brought that discipline home and founded Botero Interiors, pairing an editor's eye for detail with the operational rigor of his hospitality training at Florida International University. He splits his time between New York and Miami.
